Since 1st January 2007 all people working on construction sites in Western Australia are required to take this Building and Construction Safety Awareness course.  A Blue card is issued on successful completion of this course.  The Blue Card is valid for 3 years.  

Course Content

The short course is made up of 4 sections:

• OSH Legislation, your employer and you
• Workplace hazards and risks
• Workplace safety requirements
• Environmental considerations

Candidates who generally undertake this qualification have specific industry, subject or technical knowledge and are responsible for training and assessing in these areas.

This qualification is made up of 14 Units of Competency.  The qualification covers 4 areas of training and assessment including Learning Environment, Assessment, Learning Design and Delivery Facilitation.  You will receive and extensive manual to support course training.
